Decent place to get some American Jamaican cuisine.
Love the atmosphere, place always has a decent crowd, never experienced anyone rude nor bad services by the staff there. -

Food: Great food always seems to be on point.
Ambience: Two words, dark & grungy!! I've never gone there and it wasn't. I don't believe the establishment has ever been updated since it opened (which has to be at least 15 years). Other than the food there's nothing Caribbean about the place.
Waitstaff: They are ok.

For a first date, it would be a no-go, but been together for some time It's okay. -

D&H has been around forever and the bar stays pretty packed at night. They have tables that surround the bar on both sides. You have to seat yourself but servers will come around to take your order and you can still sit at a table even if you don't plan to eat.
I would plan to eat though because the specialty drinks are definitely strong. Try the Red Devil, I guarantee you will only need one to feel it's full effects. And as far as the food is concerned my friends have enjoyed the jerk shrimp and curry shrimp. I have had the jerk chicken but found it to salty for my taste. The regular Buffalo wings were just okay however they still have plenty of authentic Jamaican dishes I would want to try before I rush to judgement about the menu.
The crowd can get really loud and be advised there is a bouncer. -

The jerk chicken, peas and rice and plantain are always a hit! The barbecue jerk wings are really good too.

I asked for jerk chicken wings, white rice & cabbage. I got red beans & rice instead. I like that too so I wasn't too mad. It's several wings and all the food is seasoned so well. The price has jumped up over the years but that's to be expected. I definitely recommend this is a place who knows how to make hot spicy jerk chicken yum
